Session 1 – Small Schools/Non-LPS Schools: Heat 1 starts at 8:30 a.m.
Session 2 – Large Schools: Heat 1 starts at 10:30 a.m.
Runner order will start with oldest grades proceeding down to the youngest grades.
Please plan to arrive shortly before your scheduled run time. You DO NOT have to arrive at the beginning of your session. Carpooling is HIGHLY recommended as parking congestion is likely with over 3,200 runners and families.

Registration Information
ENTRY FEES:
$10 Per Runner: May 1 - June 1
$12 Per Runner: June 2 - October 4
$15 Per Runner: October 5 – October 17
ENTRY DEADLINES:
Runners registering through their school must have their completed entry form to their P.E. teacher by Friday, October 4. Registrations WILL NOT be accepted through the schools after October 4.
Registration closes at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 17.
On-site entries WILL NOT be accepted.
NOTE: Parents are allowed to run with their child free of charge. However, if the parents want to receive a Pumpkin Run t-shirt with the run, they need to register online and pay the entry fee.
Participant Packets
SCHOOL BOXES:
Most P.E. teachers will have participant packets (shirt, sponsor gifts, race-day info, etc.) available for the runners at their school sometime after October 6. All students/parents should check with the P.E. teacher to find out if/when packets will be available for pick-up at the school.
School boxes will only contain packets for runners registered by October 4.
PACKET PICK-UP:
Runners registered after October 4, or those with P.E. teachers that do not provide runner packets at the school, can pick up their packets at the Nebraska Sports Council office (4903 N 57th St, Lincoln – View map) on the following dates and times.

Wednesday, Oct 16 | 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, Oct 17 | 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
School Awards
Schools will be divided into a Large School Division (470 or more students) and a Small School Division (469 or less students). Award plaques will be given in the two divisions and award winners will be determined by the percentage of their student body enrolled in the race. The top three schools in each division will receive a plaque. Entries must be received by October 4 to count toward the school’s total. Schools with at least 10% of their student body registered will also receive a plaque.

COURSE: The course will be run in beautiful Pioneers Park, located on the southwest edge of Lincoln. This one-mile course runs over gentle, grass covered rolling hills. Fans will have a great opportunity to view the runners as they complete their mile run. Pioneers Park is the home cross country course for the University of Nebraska, Nebraska Wesleyan University and all Lincoln area high schools.
GIFTS & PRIZES: All participants will receive a Pumpkin Run t-shirt, a gift from Allied Insurance, a free kids meal at Mr. Goodcents Subs & Pasta, a free game of bowling at Sun Valley Lanes along with other goodies from our sponsors. Two lucky runners will be randomly selected to win one of two bikes provided by VMInnovations.com. 100 lucky runners will receive a voucher for a free pair of running shoes from Lincoln Running Company.
PARKING: It’s best to enter Pioneers Park using the West Van Dorn Street entrance. Parking attendants will direct participants where to park.
WEATHER: The Pumpkin Run will take place rain or shine. If there is lightning in the area, heats may be delayed. Turn your radio to KFOR 1240 AM for any weather-related delays. If changes need to be made, announcements will be made on site and may be posted here or on the Pumpkin Run Facebook page.
